In contrast to the Compact design, the DEFINEWA Modular lamp is a versatile light source with independent adjustment of the solar module to the position of the lighting unit. The high-performance solar module is connected to the lamp by means of a special construction and is able to set the optimal alignment to the course and position of the sun. This results in up to 40% higher efficiency in the utilisation of solar energy and a wide range of applications, e.g. as solar street lighting or bus stop lighting.
By installing an additional controller unit, an inverter as well as changes in the setting of the lamp management system, the DEFINEWA Modular can operate like a conventional LED street lamp with mains connection (HYBRID design). Since the mains connection only takes effect in exceptional cases (5-10% per year), the use of DEFINEWA HYBRID results in a saving of min. 90% compared to a conventional LED street lamp.
